Everything is going high-tech these days, including your wallet. Why, you ask? What you might not realize is that new credit cards have RFID chips built into them – so this new wallet blocks RFID signals to prevent anybody from accessing your data.

Do you remember that episode of Seinfeld with George's huge wallet? Sitting on your wallet can cause back pain, not to mention pain in the other region if you are sitting on an uncomfortable wallet. Personally, I switched my wallet to my front pocket long ago, after traveling to Europe and learning about how easily somebody can pick-pocket a wallet in your back pocket. After the first day, I realized it was much more comfortable to sit without a wallet, and haven't looked back since.

The Ridge is a wallet that is meant for your front pocket – it's made out of metal and has an optional money clip. Just stick your credit cards in, clip your cash onto the side, and you're ready to go. If you have more credit cards than average, don't worry, it expands. The little dip on the side allows you to use your finger to quickly push your cards up so you can access them easily. It's made of aluminum and titanium. This is a high-tech, geeky wallet.

Sadly the Ridge isn't available quite yet – it's a project over on Kickstarter, and will be shipping next month.
