Slow to connect, low connection speed. Feb 6th 2013, 08:15 Greetings. I am running openSUSE 12.2 (Gnome) The install is about a week old and it's all doing it on an HP Notebook. Over all it runs well, but when I log in, it seems to take up to 30 seconds to connect to the wireless router, and the internet. Then once it's connected it seems to load pages slowly. (compared to when it ran win7) I am a complete n00b, but I am certain the issue resides within network settings, or perhaps the driver. Honestly I don't know what to look for, and since my friends & family thinks i'm nuts for using anything other than microsux. they haven't the cognitive ability.
