Problem with changing mount point in 12.3 beta 1
Jan 23rd 2013, 11:26

I have a clean installation of 12.3 beta1 on an SSD. On the same SSD is a separate partition containing data. I also attach an HDD.

The SSD data partition and the HDD show up in /run/media/username/.....

If I go to yast>system>partitioner, I see the correct mountpoints as listed in /run/media.

If I change those two mountpoints to appear in /home/username/... they show up ok in Dolphin in the right place and with the right name and all data intact. I use chown to give myself ownership.

When I reboot, the new mountpoints are still there in /home/username, but the owner is now root and there are no folders shown. The mountpoints have vanished from yast>system>partitioner and "Do not mount" is selected.

Can anyone else confirm this?
