all i can hear is abnormal sounds while kaffeine playing ffcook encoded rmvb files Jan 25th 2013, 15:59 how can i describe this precisely? maybe i can say all i can hear is abnormal sounds, or white noises. and the video part is good. these files' audio is encoded with ffcook and kaffeine failed to play the sound part. those ffaac or mpg123 or ffac3 encoded files are good and kaffeine can play them without problems. smplayer can play these rmvb files without any problems. i have installed phonon-backend-xine, phonon-backend-vlc, phonon-backend-gstreamer, and phonon-backend-xine is the prefered one, phonon-backend-vlc second, phonon-backend-gstreamer the last. please help me out and any suggestions are appreciated.
