Windows 8 and OpenSuse 12.2
Dec 19th 2012, 20:57

I am a novice when it comes to Linux. I have a desktop setup to dual boot OpenSuse 12.2 and Windows 7 and it worked properly. I upgraded my Win 7 to Windows 8 and now am unable to boot into Suse, I receive an error 22. I have tried to update my Suse installation with an install cd, ran the fixmbr command on windows 8 and installed easybcd all to no avail. I know that the files are still there as I was able to view them via an usb harddrive reader. I have no idea what to do next. I think that when I installed Windows 8 the boot record changed. I can get to the grub command line, I see that I have 5 partitions on 2 seperate harddrives (HD 1 - 2 partitions - Windows 8 and HD 2 - 3 partitions OpenSuse). I have checked out this thread: https://forums.opensuse.org/english/...not-found.html but am still at a loss, any suggetions would be greatly appreciated
