Load GRUB 2 from Windows 7 bootloader
Dec 18th 2012, 19:27

*I'm sorry if this was asked elsewhere, but it is difficult to search on the topic.*

I updated to openSUSE 12.2 (from openSUSE 12.1) with a clean install, and that installed grub2 for me. Previously I loaded grub from the Windows 7 bootloader, by duplicate the grub boot partitions first 512b block in to a file, and with bcdedit I created an entry to that file. (I can't recall the whole process.) But this does not work any more. I tried to duplicate it again, but it does not work. Only the "GRUB" message appears.

How can I make grub bootable from Windows 7 bootloader?
