12.2 won't start after applying patches Dec 20th 2012, 16:41 In an attempt to get my 12.2 installation up-to-date, I ran zypper patch followed by zypper update. The patches and updates went on without a hitch, but when I rebooted, POST ran, GRUB gave me the list then started openSUSE, the splash screen came up and the little light blobs started floating around but when they got close to coalescing the system froze. I've tried a couple of reboots, but no joy. Help please.
