12.1 live cd, unable to install via text or GUI Aug 22nd 2012, 01:17 I can't believe I am here again. It is nearly 2 am and I am no further along. I thought I could do this, see this thread here: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/g...-4-lxde-2.html and these wonderful screenshots with instructions: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/g...ll-livecd.html I didn't have a machine with a DVD writer, so I downloaded live cd. I now have a newer machine with 3 gb of memory. The live cd appears to work, however when I click on install, nothing happens. When I click on installation at the main menu it takes me to a text login screen. So I remembered doing this before, so I typed 'yast' which doesn't work and the screen goes strange. It starts putting text at the top. I did click on check installation media before I started, I think it was okay. Some text came up and it asked me to reboot.
