Finger Print reader - HPDV7T Laptop
Jan 16th 2013, 15:22

I am bringing up a new HPDV7T core i7 laptop.
openSUSE 12.2/KDE 4.9.5 installed and running well.

So far, I don't have dual boot or the add-on Nvidia graphics running.
This is my first EFI bring-up, still reading a bit

I have been hacking about trying to bring up the Fingerprint reader.

It is a Validity unit
Code:

HPDV7T-Linux:/home/carl # lsusb |grep Validity
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 138a:0018 Validity Sensors, Inc.

So far, no luck.
I see several folks likewise hacking about on Ubuntu.

Any activity or thoughts here for openSUSE?
