Applications such as GIMP and Inkscape do not use the Dolphin File Chooser interface, I believe it is a QT interface.
When this file chooser opens, by default hidden files and folders are displayed in the menu.
I can't seem to find a way to toggle hidden folders off, which in Dolphin I would do with "alt+."
When in my home directory, lots of hidden files mean a lot of noise in the interface.
Is there a way to toggle off display of hidden (.filename) files ?
Perhaps a more interesting question, is there a way to get these applications to use the Dolphin File chooser, as is implemented with KDE integration with Firefox ?
Thanks
