fingerprint reader not available Nov 3rd 2012, 07:07 I keep getting the error " fingerprint reader device not available on this system" when I try to configure my fingerprint reader using yast. lsusb Bus 008 Device 002: ID 08ff:2550 AuthenTec, Inc. Linux sees the device. Is the auhtenTec 2550 reader supported. Im pretty sure it works in Fedora, arent they all using freedesktop?
