12.3 RC1 Packages question
Feb 17th 2013, 11:20

I am installing RC1 in a VM, I use the KDE version and I noticed that it installs also icewm... why ?

It made me decide to look at more packages that are installed... and their dependencies. I wonder if there is a way to build a dependency tree of a package.

Web browsers normally save your private data – history, cookies, searches, downloads, and more – and only delete it when you ask. If you are constantly clearing it, you can have any browser automatically clear private data when you close it.

Note that, if you set your browser to automatically clear your cookies when you close it, you will have to log into the websites you use each time you open your browser. Clearing cache files will cause websites to load more slowly after you restart your browser.

need cheap printer
Feb 17th 2013, 03:50

hi all,
I run both Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and OpenSuse 12.2 x86-64 Gnome on the same network. I need a cheap b&w laser printer that will work with both of these two oses across the network doesn't have to be wireless, hopefully that I can get at WalMart or somewhere for little money that is basically plug and play for the newer 64 bit versions of the oses. Any suggestions that you know will ABSOLUTELY work? (personal experience is best?) with as little fuss as possible?

thanks,
crsj

ps. will be upgrading to 12.3 when it comes out too.

Dual Monitors not working since upgrading to KDE 4.10
Feb 16th 2013, 22:19

I used to be able to connect any monitor to my laptop via HDMI up until my recent upgrade from KDE 4.9 to KDE 4.10. Now when I try to connect my television my laptop someone glitches and loses mouse input with no output towards the television. Granted the monitor is recognized and the setup occurs after. Any ideas on the issue?

Using 12.2
