Mac Snow Leopared Server Open directory and OpenSuse Client
Jul 19th 2012, 19:43

Hi!

I am tryng to bind a laptop ( my laptop :) ) running opensuse 12.1 ( kernel version 3.1.10 ) on a OpenDirectory Master that is running on a Xserver with Snow Leopard Server on, the opendirectory seems to work good, I am able to use between different macs on the net, But I really need to have the possibility to use my account also on the linux system, I am pretty sure that there is a way to do this but I am not a master configuring LDAP and NFS and NIS ( Do i need NIS? ) , at this point playng with YAST it seems that I am able to log as the user saved in the Opendirectory Server, but I can mount properly the home directory... , The laptop with Opensuse knows the home path, infact tryng to log from a terminal I receive " No home directory /Network/Servers/prometeo.local/Users/gia! "

Did someone accomplish this task?

I think I gave too few information but this is because I don't where to focus the attention :)
Thank you
Ciao!
