Disable Misbehaving Touchpad Jul 19th 2012, 19:30 Hi all! I have a brand-new Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop running OpenSuSE 12.1 (64-bit). The touchpad isn't recognized as a touchpad, but as a regular mouse. While I understand that this is due to a bug in kernel versions < 3.3, and will be fixed when OpenSuSE 12.2 comes out, I need to find a way to disable it in the meantime since it interferes with my typing. Normally, I set up synaptic to disable the touchpad while I'm typing, but since that isn't an option and I have an external mouse, I'd just like to disable it altogether -- I've been searching around, but can't find any clear instructions. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance!
